Benjamin Tiffany

Fractional CMO / CTO
Marketing Strategy, Web Apps, and Advising

When not busy trekking to Everest Base Camp (see photo) or enjoying breathtaking vistas in the Sierra Nevadas, you'll find me smashing code bugs, corralling agency vendors, hiring rock stars, training teams, normalizing wacky databases, strategizing sales funnels, and making businesses great again.

My programming journey started at the age of 10 with PocketC, a C-variant for PalmOS (^_^). From there I've added front-end (HTML/CSS, JS, etc) and back-end (PHP, Linux, Ruby, Python, Go) technologies to my tool belt, becoming an accomplished OO PHP and full-stack development lead. But more than development experience, I've integrated everything I've learned about business and marketing strategy, natural planning, and project management to couple technical solutions with business strategy to accelerate client success.

My consulting journey in marketing began more recently in 2016, when I dove headfirst into training by Russell Brunson, Ryan Levesque's Ask Method Masterclass, CopyHackers' 10X Emails course, Todd Brown's E5 Method Masterclass, and Ryan Deiss' Digital Marketing Lab. Since then, I've focused on multi-channel media buying strategy and deeply integrated analytics to inform and drive growth strategies.

Last year I worked as a fractional CMO in the crowded protein supplement space and helped drive revenue growth of 50% for an e-commerce company. Other notable marketing clients have included the marketing strategy and systems that created a 7-figure education business, and solving the unfixable problems in an 8-figure ecommerce company.

The fusion of senior programming skills and digital marketing creates an unstoppable skillset and invaluable asset to your team. When you hire me, you get efficient problem-solving, actionable strategy, and strong leadership for the online component(s) of your business.

One of my favorite web projects was an emergency radio feed processor that I built using Ruby on Rails, Sidekiq queueing, a set of Python scripts, and a complex Linux AWS architecture. That client has already made his money back 14X over.

Over the years, I've risen to the top of 5-star US freelancers by demonstrating integrity, reliability, quality communication, and abstract problem-solving skills. I specialize in complex systems that solve challenging business problems to make my clients more time and money. I have some of the happiest clients around. Will you be one of them? ;-)
